TheBubbler blogs are here!

Friday, June 30th, 2006

Thank you, John Miller, SysAdmin for OnYourMark, LLC, for getting theBubbler.com blog together and giving me the honor of the first post!

For members of theBubbler.com, here’s a new way to get information from theBubbler. We hope to add to our impressive, rapidly growing free membership at theBubbler by re-purposing content from “Wisconsin’s Information Source” in this blog format.

For those who are not yet members, theBubbler.com is our Wisconsin Internet Guide and Directory – # 1 in Wisconsin as of February or March of this year(per www.Alexa.com). We started theBubbler in the olden days of the Internet, back around 1995. I figured then that the one thing missing on the internet was a sense of geography…hence the name, the “Bubbler”. Few people outside of Wisconsin even know what a bubbler actually is. Now the googles and yahoos of the world are spending tens-, if not hundreds- of milions to achieve ‘getting local’. Well folks, we’re true-blue homegrown, and we hope you’ll like what we’re doing for people in Wisconsin.
The Bubbler offers:

Free Wisconsin Classifieds Advertising for Wisconsin People and Businesses

Wisconsin Forums for talking about everything from the fishing around the Badger State to Wisconsin politics and jokes (often the same thing lately).

Social Networking for Members – including ‘friends’ links and ‘FOFA’ – seeing if you’re connected (friend-of-a-friend)

The Bubbler has one of Wisconsin’s largest link directories, too, about 8,000 links I believe, connecting viewers to every sort of Wisconsin enterprise.

The Events Calendar at theBubbler is a big feature that promises to get about a hundred times better as we implement our new WisEvents.com calendaring software in the next ten days or so.

There’s much more, and it is all FREE. We plan to say it all, and hope you’ll stay tuned.

Regards,
Keith
